THEATER SHOWING OF NEW MARTIN LUTHER MOVIE

In anticipation of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, First Lutheran Church, Lake Elsinore is hosting a movie night at Edwards Temecula Stadium 15 (40750 Winchester Road) to show "Martin Luther, The Idea that Changed the World" on Thursday, September 21, at 6:30 pm. REFORMATION ORGAN CONCERT

In honor of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, Circuit 11 will be hosting a concert of organ music based on the hymns of the Reformation. Dr. Scott Anderson, guest organist will perform works by Bach, Brahms, Distler and others. The concert will be held on Sunday, September 24, 4:00 pm at Hope Lutheran Church, Glendora. HYMN FESTIVAL CELEBRATION

Redeemer Lutheran Church, Huntington Beach is hosting "Here I Stand - a Hymn Festival Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation" on Sunday, October 8 at 4:00 (free of charge).

REFORMATION CELEBRATION

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orange is holding a BIG party to celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation and to remember all the blessings of St. Paul's as we celebrate 110 years of ministry. The Reformation Celebration event will be held on Saturday, October 28 with a traditional worship service with brass at 5:00 pmfollowed by a German style dinner of brats, hot dogs, potato salad and more at 6:00 pm. Cost is $10.00 per person. The evening will also include a musical performance by St. Paul's school children and a photo opportunity with Martin Luther and the Whittenberg door. Come dance to the music by the Oompah Meisters German style band as they play famous Polka and German songs including the Chicken Dance, Rucki Zucki and many more as well as American Pop and Country selections. PRESENTATION FROM MARTIN LUTHER

In celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Arcadia is having a special presentation from Martin Luther (Allan Lemke) on Sunday, October 29 at our 8:00 am and 10:45 am services with Q & A in-between at 9:30 am. REFORMATION 500: AN EVENING OF WORD AND SONG

Wednesday, November 1, 7:00 pm at Segerstom Concert Hall

Concordia's choirs, handbells and orchestras join with musicians from area churches and schools in a 500-member music ensemble to lead festive hymns, choruses, and sacred music around the themes of Scripture Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone and Christ Alone. The LCMS has new, free materials available to help promote the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation this year in LCMS congregations and their communities. The kit of downloadable resources is expected to be available this month on the Synod's Reformation-anniversary website.
